Mimi Rafferty, an art teacher at Trinity School, in Ellicott City, received the Outstanding Visual Arts Educator Award, on Oct. 21, presented by the Maryland Art Education Association. The monument is built around the statue of Our Lady, which was given to the Maryland Province at its establishment in 1934 by Trinity College.
