Track & Field Program

Overview

Trinity Track & Field is available to students in the 5-8th grades.

The goals of the Track & Field program are: 1) To have fun and build school spirit, 2) To support a healthy lifestyle of exercise, and 3) To allow every child an opportunity to compete, and compete at an appropriate level for their skills. The Track & Field program is run by volunteer faculty: Rob McBride.

  • 1600m
  • 100m
  • 200m
  • 4x100m
  • 4x400m
  • 400m
  • 4x200m
  • 800m
  • Long Jump
  • Shot Put
  • Discus
  • Softball Throw

Practice Schedule

Practice will be held weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Tuesday and Thursday practices will run from 3:30 - 4:45 pm
  • Wednesday practices will run from 12:45 - 2:00pm (please have students bring lunch)

Parents, please pick-up your child or arrange to have your child picked-up at the designated end of practice. All attempts will be made to end practice on time.

Meet Schedule

We will have five Saturday meets. Details will be given as the meets get closer.

Necessary items for practice/meets:

  • Water bottle (preferably marked with name clearly written)
  • Athletic wear to run in (hoodie, pants if it's cold)
  • Gym uniform (only necessary for meets)
  • Running shoes

Please note, students will not be able to participate in practice or the meets without proper running attire.
