School Uniforms

Trinity has chosen a uniform for the boys and girls that is to be worn in its entirety, except on special occasions which are announced in advance. We hope the following FAQ provides answers to any question you may have regarding uniforms for your children.

Q: Where can I buy new uniforms?

A: With the exception of Gym uniforms, which are purchased from Trinity School, all other school uniform items may be purchased from:

Dennis Uniform Manufacturing Company
1110C North Rolling Road
Catonsville, MD 21228
Tel: (410) 869-4682 or (800) 854-6951

Parents can order online or browse through their store in person. Non-Trinity specific uniform items (blouses, pants, socks, etc.) may be purchased from other stores that carry those items. Shoes can be purchased from a variety of stores that carry the appropriate styles. We also recommend:

Q: Where can I buy used uniforms?

A: Trinity school holds used uniform sales throughout the year, usually in September, October, January and April. The sales are held in the basement of St. Julie Hall (the middle school) and are sponsored by Trinity's Scholarship Committee. View the calendar for current sale dates and times.

Q: Can I donate my child's used uniforms?

A: Certainly! Donations are very much appreciated. Used uniforms may be dropped in the designated bin that is just inside the doors of St. Julie Hall (the middle school) that face the drop-off circle. Alternately, donations may be made during the used uniform sales. All proceeds from the used uniform sales help the Scholarship Committee.

Q: What is Trinity's policy on bookbags?

A: Students in Grades K-4 use bookbags without wheels. Students in Grades 5-8 can use wheeled bookbags if they wish.

Q: Are there any Free Dress days at Trinity?

A: Yes. Days out of uniform (Free Dress Days) are periodically scheduled and announced to the students. When students do not wear the uniform, they are expected to wear suitable outfits, not play clothes to school unless play clothes have been specifically identified as acceptable for that day. On Free Dress days, if a student thinks that a particular article of clothing in not appropriate, then it probably should not be worn to school. On special occasions, dress clothes are required.

Q: Apart from uniforms, what is Trinity's Dress Code? What articles and styles are prohibited?

A: A summary of Trinity's Dress Code and how it is enforced is below. You may also refer to the Student Handbook.

Clothes that are inappropriate include:

When a student is not wearing the uniform appropriately, a school representative will notify parents by phone. If necessary, parents will be asked to bring proper attire to school. Only when uniform correction has been made, a student will return to class. Middle School students who violate the uniform code will be issued points.

Q: Should I label all of my child's clothing?

A: A resounding yes! While Trinity makes every effort to notify parents of articles in the Lost & Found, every year there are numerous lost items in both primary and middle schools -- uniforms, expensive winter clothing, backpacks and lunch boxes, shoes, etc.
