Staff
This school year Mrs. Anne Howard continues as our media center specialist. Mrs. Howard has a Masters degree in Curriculum Design and a Masters degree in School Library Science. Moreover, Mrs. Howard specializes in collection development.
The addition of the new middle school building (St. Julie Hall) in 2002 allowed Trinity to realize one of its long-desired goals a comprehensive new media center for our students. Our catalogue of books boasts a collection ranging from primary to young adult. The total collection consists of more than 19,000 books in addition to educational and popular magazines. In addition to an extensive and well researched catalogue, our media center offers a full array of audio visual technology including 10 computers for student research, united streaming, database access to children's magazines, on-line encyclopedias, one of which is entirely in Spanish. The facility itself is 3270 square feet - bright and airy with lovely views of Trinity's campus.
Planning for the Future
Plans for the future of our media center include continually expanding the collection to enrich the curriculum and incorporating Web 2.0 technology into instruction to prepare our students for secondary education.
