Trinity Summer Camp FAQs 2019

Trinity Summer Camp "First Day" FAQs

1.   What Should My Child Bring to Camp?

All Campers should bring the following to camp:  

Morning Snack
Lunch – unless you purchased one for Wednesday / Friday
NOTE: Purchased lunches are not offered June 10-14
Water Bottle
Sunscreen w/permission form
Sport Campers should wear gym shoes

Additional Items for Pre-K and Kindergarten campers:

Towel, Mat or blanket
Change of clothes
If you would like your child to nap, please send in whatever items they normally nap with.

PLEASE LABEL ALL ITEMS YOUR CHILD BRINGS TO CAMP.

 


 

2.   When / Where Do You Go the Pool?

Wednesdays every week beginning on June 26th. 
We do not have a pool lease for July 3rd.
We leave campus at 11:30 am and return at 3:30 pm
We go to Hopewell Mini Water Park (a Columbia Association pool)



3.   What Should My Child Bring on Swim Days? (All Groups)

Please send your child to camp wearing their swimsuit & sunscreen
Backpack (easier for kids to carry than the bags)
Towel
Change of Clothes
Sunscreen (to re-apply)
Water Bottle
Snack(s)
Lunch (if not buying Chic-fil-a)

PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING YOUR CHILD BRINGS TO THE POOL.


 
4.   What Options Will You Have at the Snack Bar? When Will Campers Go to the Snack Bar?

Some examples of items sold at snack the snack bar are: Skinny Pop popcorn, Gatorade, ice cream, Veggie Straws, and chocolate chip cookies.
Snacks & Drinks will cost between 50 cents and $1.50 
Campers can go to snack bar everyday except Wednesdays. 
Snack bar opens right before lunch time. Counselors will escort younger campers.
Campers with food allergies are NOT permitted to purchase snacks from the snack bar. 



5.   Does Camp Provide Snacks?

We do not provide morning snack. Campers should bring a camp from home to have in the morning (around 10:30 am)
We do provide ice pops at the end of the day (around 3:30/3:45). If your child has any food allergies at all, you must provide written permission for them to receive an ice pop.
If you do not wish you child to receive an ice pop, you may send in an alternate treat. 



6.   Do I Need Medication and Forms for My Child to Attend the First Day?

YES, your child will not be permitted at camp until all medical forms are completed and the proper medication is provided. 
The regular health inventory does not require a doctor’s signature.



7.   Do You Offer Lunch? If So, What Days?

Chic-fil-a: 
Every Wednesday (will be delivered to the pool on pool days)
Includes: chicken Nuggets, bag of chips, bottle of water
Cost: $6 per meal

Pizza:
Every Friday
Only pizza is included
Cost: $2/slice



8.   Should I Send My Child Wearing Sunscreen in the Morning?

YES! Please apply sunscreen before camp as we will most likely be outside in the morning. 
We will reapply sunscreen as needed throughout the day.

5.   Does Trinity Summer Camp Provide Snacks?

Trinity Summer Camp provides ice pops at the end of the day (around 3:30/3:45). We do not provide a morning snack. Campers should bring a snack from home to enjoy in the morning (around 10:30 am).

Important Note: If your child has any food allergies, you must provide written permission for them to receive an ice pop. If you do not wish your child to receive an ice pop, you may send in an alternate treat. 

9.   Drop Off & Pickup Instructions

If we have received your completed camp forms, you will receive an email with a group assignment and pick up card.

You may drop your child off at the designated group location at 9AM but not earlier than 8:50 when the Head Counselor will be there to receive campers.  Please do not get out of your car, the Counselors will help your child with his/her things.

Please place the Pick-up Card on your driver’s side dashboard.  A director will announce your arrival at pick up time and direct you to your childs group.  Again, please do not get out of your car, a counselor will assist your camper into the car.

Before & After Care:  If your child is registered for before and/or after care, please follow the sign to the designated check-in.  A staff member be on hand to assist your camper.

If we do not have your camp forms or you are turning in medication, please park in the designated parking lot (see map) and proceed to the camp office.



10.   Late Arrival & Early Dismissal Procedures for the Safety of Your Children


If you arrive after the gates have been closed (9:15 AM) please park and escort your child to the office to sign her/him in.  PLEASE DO NOT allow your child to proceed onto the campus unattended.  

If you need to pick up your child before dismissal (3:50 PM) please park and proceed to the camp office and sign him/her out.  PLEASE DO NOT attempt to pick up your child from a location other than the camp office.
