2024 Weekly Theme Descriptions

Week 1:  June 10 - 14
ALL ABOUT ME-  Back by request, this week will be dedicated to helping our Middle School campers focus on taking care of themselves. Some topics may include yoga, meditation, healthy choices, and the importance of self-care time.

Week 2:  June 17 - 21 (closed Wednesday, 6/19)
SUMMER SCIENTISTS -
This week, campers will explore their world around them with many different science experiments and projects. Projects will be STEM-based and planned around camper interest. We know how much our Middle School campers like to test theories, so this is their chance!

Week 3:  June 24 - June 28
COOKING WEEK -  Back by request is our Middle School Cooking Week! Campers will be planning, preparing and cooking each day using recipes that they will be able to make and eat at camp! There is an additional $15 fee for this week to cover the cost of extra supplies/ingredients for the week, but campers will be eating their creations each day for lunch this week.

Week 4:  July 1 - 3  (Closed Thursday 7/4 and Friday 7/5)
FUTURE CAMP COUNSELOR – Middle School campers will spend this week learning about being a camp counselor. They will spend time getting to know the different age groups in our Day Camp and being able to assist those groups with projects throughout the day. Other activities will focus on leadership and life skills.

Week 5:  July 8 - 12
Middle School ART STUDIO – Our Camp Art Teacher will devote this week to working with our Middle School Group in the Art Studio.  Campers in this workshop will explore many different art forms and activities.  Campers may be painting, sketching, paper Mache and much more.

Week 6:  July 15 - 19
NATURE LOVERS – During this week at camp, campers will explore the natural world by doing crafts and projects based on the nature we see around camp! Campers may make art from things they find outside, paint rocks, or take a nature walk around our sprawling campus!

Week 7:  July 22 - 26
FUTURE CAMP COUNSELOR - This week was such a hit in previous camp seasons that we are bringing it back for 2 weeks this summer! Middle School campers will spend this week learning about being a camp counselor. They will spend time getting to know the different age groups in our Day Camp and being able to assist those groups with projects throughout the day. Campers will also participate in a Red Cross certified Babysitting training class throughout the week. Other activities will focus on leadership and life skills.

Week 8:  July 29 - August 2
TRINITY OLYMPICS - During our last week of camp, all groups participate in week-long field day events.  Each group will choose a country to celebrate and compete in relay races, balloon toss, cheer contests, and much more.  We will wrap up the summer with a parade of the country flags and host a block party featuring various game stations and lots of dancing.

PLEASE NOTE:
Planning for the upcoming summer is still in progress, and certain programs may be subject to change.
