"Teach them what they need to know for life, but most of all,
teach them to live as good Christians”
- St. Julie Billiart, Foundress Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur
Welcome to Trinity School’s 83rd year of teaching students what they need to know for life and how to live as good Christians! At the beginning of each new school year, the Board of Trustees and School reaffirm our long-standing affiliation with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. We are privileged and honored to promote their legacy of making known the goodness of God by cultivating students’ God-given talents through academic, leadership, and service opportunities in an environment supported by the Notre Dame Hallmarks.
#1 We proclaim by our lives even more than by our words that God is good.
#2 We honor the dignity and sacredness of each person.
#3 We educate for and act on behalf of justice, peace, and care for all creation.
#4 We commit ourselves to community service.
#5 We embrace the gift of diversity.
#6 We create community among those with whom we work and with those we serve.
#7 We develop holistic learning communities that educate for life.
The Hallmarks, rooted in the Gospel, are the principles and activities of Notre Dame schools and ministries. They provide a practical guide for our students, parents, faculty, and staff as we strive to live our mission and promote the philosophy of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. This year we will focus wholistically on the meaning and value of the Hallmarks in our community. We will also explore our connections to the larger Notre Dame community that spans the globe.
Other major school initiatives this year include:
- implementing the Year 1 Goals of the 2024-2029 Strategic Plan (found on our website)
- forming our AI Task Force (parents, teachers, administrators, and students) to study and write policies for the educational uses of AI and the additional cyber security measures that need to be in place.
As always, I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead and continue to draw inspiration and strength from the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
Peace –
Ms. K. Marguerite Conley
