Trinity's Art Program is designed to expand students' creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Our curriculum is rooted in art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics. Students explore a variety of mediums and develop their artistic voices by focusing on an annual theme. Recent themes have ranged from African Art, Asian Art, Contemporary Art, and Nature in Art. Our art program is centered around the celebration of the uniqueness of each child, and here students grow as free thinkers and creators.
The art studio is well-designed with generous space and ample storage, has easel top desks and is brightly illuminated. The studio provides our students with an inspirational setting in which to produce artwork. Field trips to major museums bring to life what is taught in the classroom. Periodically, Trinity students' artwork is displayed at local libraries. The Spring Art Show serves as the grand finale of the year's work. The art program has joined with the music program to combine our two annual events - the Spring Art Show and the Spring Concert, into an expanded Night of the Arts.
The art program strives to inspire in students a love for visual expression in their own work and in works throughout art history.
